How it works

The life of a fax, from ring to filed.

Here's exactly what happens in the seconds after a fax hits your firm's number, and where a person steps in when judgment is needed.

Transmission 01 / 05

A fax arrives on your existing number

Nothing about your setup changes. DocBridge connects to the fax system your firm already uses, on the numbers your providers, adjusters, and courts already have. The moment a fax completes, DocBridge picks it up.

No new hardware, no forwarding rules, no "please resend to our new number" letters.

Transmission 02 / 05

DocBridge reads the whole document

This is not just a keyword scan. DocBridge reads every page and works out what the document actually is: medical records, an itemized bill, an insurance letter, a police report, a lien notice, correspondence.

It also writes a short plain-English summary, so whoever eventually opens the task knows what's inside before they click.

Transmission 03 / 05

It's matched to the right case

DocBridge compares what it read against the open matters in your client management system, using the identifying details that make sense for your firm's cases, configured with you during setup.

When the match is confident, the document proceeds automatically. When it isn't (a common name, a brand-new client, a wrong-number fax), it stops and asks a person instead of guessing.

Transmission 04 / 05

Filed, named, and put where it belongs

The document is saved into the matched case, in the correct folder for its type, named exactly to your firm's convention. Every document, every time, the same way. The filing habits you've tried to enforce for years become automatic.

Transmission 05 / 05

The right person finds out immediately

A review task is created on the case and assigned to the responsible person, with the summary attached. Attorneys stop being buried in documents that aren't theirs to action, and nothing sits unread in a fax inbox.

Anything DocBridge wasn't sure about lands in your firm's review queue, where your team can confirm the match, reassign it to a colleague, or simply download it, for the faxes that don't belong to any case at all.

Connections

Your systems stay. DocBridge adapts to them.

DocBridge was designed from day one to be system-neutral: it connects to what your firm already uses rather than asking you to switch.

Your fax system

Whatever service your firm uses to receive faxes today, DocBridge connects to it directly. Your numbers stay the same, your existing service keeps working, and every incoming fax flows through DocBridge automatically.

Your client management system

DocBridge files documents and creates tasks inside the case management platform your firm already runs on, using your existing cases, folders, and team assignments. Your team keeps working exactly where they work now.

Security & confidentiality

Built for documents you have a duty to protect.

Medical records and client files demand more than convenience. DocBridge is built around that responsibility.

Encrypted end to end

Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, from the moment a fax is received to the moment it's filed in your system.

HIPAA-conscious by design

DocBridge handles medical records daily, and the platform is architected around healthcare privacy requirements. We execute Business Associate Agreements with every firm.

Every action logged

Every document's journey (received, matched, filed, reviewed, reassigned) is recorded with who did what and when. A complete audit trail, always.

Your firm's data is your firm's

Each firm's documents and case information are isolated from every other firm's. Your data is never used for anything other than serving your firm.
